LIVE GAME UPDATE:

  • Freshman point guard Cortney Fortson has committed two fouls and come out of the game. Without Fortson, Arkansas is a different team for the worse. Michael Washington, coming off consecutive double-doubles, is also out with two early fouls.
  • 18-19 TEXAS with 8:19 left in 1st half.
  • After leading by as much as six, the Hogs are now down by three, 21-18, with 7:14 left in the first half.
  • Texas is seven for 23 while the Hogs are seven for 24 with 6:41 left in the first half.
  • With six minutes left inthe half, Arkansas has not scored a field goal in the last five minutes.
  • With 3:24 left in the first, Stefan Welsh and Michael Washington lead Arkansas with eight and seven points respectively.
  • Texas is 22 of 31 from the paint with just over 2:00 left in the half.

  • To Arkansas’ credit, Texas’ key play maker A.J. Abrams has yet to make much of an impact, going 0 for 7 from the field and zero points total.
  • Fortson has a questionable third foul called against him about two minutes into the second half.
  • Both teams were a combined one for 20 on three points in the first half, with Rotnei Clarke’s three being the sole shot. Clarke also made the only three with 16 minutes left in the game.

  • While Texas has been inept from beyond the arc, their big men are creating problems for the Razorback’s, especially in Texas’ paint.
