All this talk of Lincoln and how she will do compared to Obama kind of makes me ponder the question what Arkansas Republican candidate will stack up to do better than 85% as well as John McCain did (percentage wise). Actually, to win they will have to do much better than that. I can assure you her Arkansas roots, connection to rural Arkansans, and political sensibilities will position Senator Lincoln to do one heck of a lot better in Arkansas than the President ever thought about. Plus, I will bet Senator Lincoln actually does spend time and money campaigning in our state.

The Vice President may have given her a “pass” to vote “no” on card check, but does his pass extend to voting “no” on cloture?
If she votes for cloture on card check, it wouldn’t matter that she voted “no” on passage.

I can assure you that the anti-EFCA forces in Arkansas have communicated to both Mrs. Lincoln and Mr. Pryor that a vote for cloture is a vote for “card check.”

I attended an anti-EFCA press conference last week at which the point about cloture was driven home.
