Craig Moon, the publisher of USA Today, is leaving to pursue other opportunities at age 59. He was publisher of the Arkansas Gazette during the last red in-soaked years of Gannett’s ownership of the paper.

Rep. Mark Martin’s bill to allow for the open carry of firearms and other weapons failed on a voice vote this morning in House Judiciary. Prior to the vote, the bill was amended to provide for a minimum age of 21.
