Fogleman to run for Supreme Court

Arkansas News Bureau

LITTLE ROCK — Crittenden County Circuit Judge John Fogleman says he plans to run for a seat on the state Supreme Court next year.

Fogleman, of Marion, has scheduled a noon news conference Tuesday in the Old Supreme Court chambers at the state Capitol.

Fogleman has previously expressed interest in running in the May 2010 election to fill the seat of Justice Tom Glaze, who retired last year.

Gov. Mike Beebe appointed Justice Elena Wills to complete the remainder of Glaze’s term, but as an appoint, Wills cannot run for the position.

Fogleman is the nephew of former Chief Justice John A. Fogleman.

Arkansas Court of Appeals Judge Courtney Henry of Fayetteville announced last week she plans to run for the seat on the Supreme Court.
