Quorum Court OKs fine increase

The Lonoke County Quorum Court approved a request by the Sheriff’s Department for an increase from $5 to $15 added to fines for people who receive a misdemeanor offense, such as speeding.

Lonoke County’s ‘Most Wanted’ is arrested

Nicholas W. Tarkington, 27, of North Little Rock who was listed as Lonoke County’s “Most Wanted” fugitive was located and taken into custody at a residence in Little Rock on Monday by the Little Rock Police Department.

Carlisle student awarded ASU Chancellor’s Scholarship

Jordan Jackson, of Carlisle, a senior at Carlisle High School, has accepted a Vice Chancellor’s Scholarship to attend Arkansas State University-Jonesboro this fall.

KARATE STYLE

THE CARLISLE PUBLIC LIBRARY held “Be Creative @ Your Library” Karate Style Tuesday, June 16. Monica Davis from Cabot Karate for Kids read the story “Karate Girl” and taught the children some karate moves. Forty-eight children were in attendance. The kids also made slime or gloop afterward.
