City records should be open

The state’s Freedom of Information Act came about after a North Little Rock Times reporter was escorted out of a meeting of North Little Rock’s City Council that reconvened in a local bar after the supposed adjournment of the regular meeting back in the 1960s.

Mean streets of Maumelle

Maumelle is one of the nicest cities in Arkansas. People often tend to be a little more civilized here than in nearby communities. It’s not uncommon to see folks holding doors for others, especially ladies. And occasionally, you’ll see people waving at each other as they drive down the street.
