Beebe appoints 11 to state boards and commissions

LITTLE ROCK — Gov. Mike Beebe announced the appointments of 11 Arkansans to state boards and commissions Thursday.

Those appointed:

—Lynn Allen of West Memphis reappointed to the Mid-South Community College Board of Trustees. The appointment expires July 1, 2015.

—Dr. Justin Boyd of Fort Smith replaces Bob Dufour on the Arkansas State Board of Pharmacy. His appointment expires June 30, 2015.

—Ronnie Dedman of Mabelvale reappointed to the Pulaski Technical College Board of Directors. His appointment expires July 16, 2016.

—Denny East of Marion reappointed to the Mid-South Community College Board of Trustees. His appointment expires July 1, 2015.

—Sue Gibson of Walnut Ridge replaces Rebecca Edwards on the Black River Technical College Board of Trustees. Her appointment expires July 1, 2016.

—Dr. John Hearnsberger II of McNab to the Arkansas State Medical Board. His appointment expires Dec. 31, 2014.

—Judi Norton of Pine Bluff reappointed to the Southeast Arkansas College Board of Trustees. Her appointment expires July 1, 2016.

—Larry Ross of Sherwood replaces Sharon Capps to the Arkansas State Board of Pharmacy. His appointment expires June 30, 2015.

—Mary Toney of West Memphis reappointed to the Mid-South Community College Board of Trustees. Her appointment expires July 1, 2015.

—Dr. Sylvia Simon of Monticello replaces Dr. C.E. Tommey on the Arkansas State Medical Board. Her appointment expires December 31, 2014.

—W.H. Taylor of Fayetteville reappointed to the Arkansas Public Defender Commission. The appointment expires July 1, 2014.
