LITTLE ROCK — Gov. Mike Beebe on Thursday appointed Toyce Newton of Crossett to the Arkansas Board of Education.
Newton, whose term expires June 30, 2016, is director of Phoenix Youth and Family Services.
She replaces Diane Tatum of Pine Bluff.
The governor also appointed Doug Martin of Fayetteville circuit judge for Division 5 of the 4th Judicial District in Madison and Washington counties.
Martin replaces Circuit Judge Mike Mashburn, who recently retired for health reasons. Martin’s appointment expires Dec. 31, 2010.
Beebe also made 32 other appointments to boards and commissions. They include:
