The Carlisle Public School year kicked off Aug. 19 when students traded summertime fun for classroom studies.
A small ceremony was held Aug. 20 at the Senior Citizens Center to commend the legionnaires of Carlisle for their services to our country, our community, and to announce plans for the American Legion property which has been has been dedicated to the city.
Councilmen decided to crack down on homeowners who are not properly maintaining yards and empty lots during the City Council meeting Aug. 18.
Aug. 26 — First Baptist Church AWANA program will be having the annual Family Hot Dog Supper and registration at 6 p.m. in Downs Hall.
