Crosswalk fatality nets max sentence

A Lonoke County jury handed down the stiffest penalties possible, 13 years in prison and a $20,000 fine, for a September 2008 crosswalk accident at Cabot that killed one person and severely injured another, Prosecuting Attorney Will Feland said Friday.

1,165 Students Enroll In Cabot District No.4 Registration for the fall school term which opens Monday, August 31, was held in Cabot, Midway, and Ward, Tuesday and Wednesday. A total of 1,165 students registered. Superintendent George Hickey said he expected more students to register in the next week or so resulting the total climbing higher.
