Legion gives property to Carlisle

A small ceremony was held Aug. 20 at the Senior Citizens Center to commend the legionnaires of Carlisle for their services to our country, our community, and to announce plans for the American Legion property which has been has been dedicated to the city.

First-Time Winner Arkansas Bound

The LPGA’s most recent champion, 19-year-old South Korean M.J. Hur, is scheduled to compete in the P&G Beauty NW Arkansas Championship. Tournament officials confirmed Monday that Hur’s name was on the most recent field list for the event Sept. 11-13 at Pinnacle Country Club in Rogers.
