It is my own fault. Dad taught us early on to read the entire book upon purchase. Up until I bought my newest car, an energy efficient compact 2010 model, I ALWAYS read the owners manual before putting the key in the ignition. But this time, life got too busy. However, I should have made some time. Had I read the manual, I would have known how to reset my car clock. I tried fiddling with it when I took the boys to school this morning when I realized that it was indeed an hour off. But my last car was a different make. I used to drive a domestic. My new car is an import – well, the car itself and/or most of the parts were probably made in the USA, but the company name is definitely foreign. Meanwhile, after driving around town with my clock an hour off – which really messes with a person’s busy Monday morning – I finally stopped in the parking lot of the post office and dug the book out of the glove compartment. It took a few minutes to find the procedure for setting the clock, but once I did, I felt silly. It was so simple. I reset the clock to the correct time, got the mail and went on with my day. Well, not before noticing a few other drivers parked here and there hunched over their vehicle owners manuals searching for a way to set their clocks straight!
