Accounting firms to merge

LITTLE ROCK — An Arkansas-based accounting firm will merge with a California firm to create one of the largest 50 accounting firms in the U.S. in terms of gross revenues, the companies said today.

Frost PLLC of Little Rock, with offices also in Fayetteville and Raleigh, N.C., will merge with Moore Stephens Wurth Frazer and Torbet LLP, which has three offices in California, the companies said in a joint news release.

The merger will be effective Jan. 1, 2010. The new firm will be known as Frazer Frost LLP and will continue operating out of all current locations.

Annual revenues are projected to be about $60 million. The firm will employee 272 people and represent businesses in 47 states and 15 countries.
