Lonoke County Judge Charlie Troutman has announced in a letter that he will seek the nomination as Democrat candidate for county judge. Troutman is now in his fourth term.

The Cabot schools’ Museum of American History is documenting the history of the Cabot schools, said museum director Mike Polston. “We are attempting to collect as much material about the school system as we can,” he said.

Jason Craven of Cabot has for the past several years had a spectacular Christmas show of lights and music. This year he has volunteered to ask spectators to donate to Open Arms Shelter during the display.

Three-year trends in a study of pedestrian and bicycle fatal accidents show the developed areas of the Central Arkansas region to be the most dangerous. The minority areas of Little Rock showed a greater rate than other areas, according to a report released last week to the Metroplan board of directors at its monthly meeting.
