Blog: Football Ticket Prices ‘Likely’ To Increase

Are you happy Arkansas quarterback Ryan Mallett is coming back to the Razorbacks for his junior season?

Do you believe the Razorbacks have a chance to make a strong push in the SEC West next season?

Will you be willing to pay a little more to watch the Razorbacks in person next season?

Athletic director Jeff Long indicated today during his speech to the Northwest Arkansas Tip-Off Club that football ticket prices will be going up for the 2010 season. After telling the crowd it will happen, he softened his stance a little and said it is “likely” to happen.

In other words, get ready for it.

“We’re just talking about football at this point,” Long said after his speech. “Absolutely just evaluating and assessing whether our budget will call upon us to increase football ticket prices.”

Ticket prices have been set at $45 the past two years after an increase before the 2008 season. Previously, ticket prices were set at $35.

Long said nothing will be decided until mid-February.
