Four escape van before train crash in Jacksonville

Four people escaped injury early Monday morning after the school van in which they were riding became stuck on a railroad track. They were helped to safety, however, before a Union Pacific train struck the van.

Poaching? Or torture? Small caliber rounds wound cattle

Someone is shooting cattle in eastern Lonoke County. Possibly, it is a case of mistaking cattle for deer, though that would mean someone is hunting illegally at night, and using firearms meant for small game — leaving the likelihood of wounded deer slowly dying.
