LITTLE ROCK — Gov. Mike Beebe on Monday announced two special judicial appointments and 25 appointments to state boards and commissions.
Beebe appointed Stuart Hankins of North Little Rock and Amy Stewart of Little Rock as special associate justices of the state Supreme Court for the case of T.C. v. Arkansas.
Hankins and Stewart replace Justices Donald Corbin and Elana Wills, respectively, who disqualified themselves.
Those appointed to state boards and commissions:
—Phil Alford, Lewisville, reappointed to the Red River Commission. Appointment expires Jan. 14, 2017.
—James Brandenburg, Bentonville, to the Arkansas Division of Volunteerism Advisory Council. Appointment expires Jan. 8, 2013. Replaces Melissa Simpson.
—Diane Bray, Little Rock, to the Pulaski Technical College Board of Trustees. Appointment expires July 1, 2015. Replaces Vicki Saviers.
—Ronald Carroll, Jonesboro, reappointed to the Arkansas State Board of Athletic Training. Appointment expires Jan. 14, 2013.
—Mike Carter, Fort Smith, to the Arkansas Natural Resources Commission. Appointment expires Jan. 14, 2017. Replaces Robert White.
—Shirley Clark, Cabot, to the Arkansas Board of Hearing Instrument Dispensers. Appointment expires July 31, 2012. Replaces George Hove.
—Khayyam Eddings, Little Rock, reappointed to the Arkansas School for the Blind and Arkansas School for the Deaf Board of Trustees. Appointment expires Jan. 14, 2015.
—Otis “Buddy” Franks Jr., Magnolia, to the Southern Arkansas University Board of Trustees. Appointment expires Jan. 14, 2012. Replaces Dr. Jack Harrington.
—Monty Henderson, Fayetteville, to the Arkansas Livestock and Poultry Commission. Appointment expires Jan. 14, 2017. Replaces Jim Barton.
—Charlie Holt, Stuttgart, reappointed to the War Memorial Stadium Commission. Appointment expires Jan. 14, 2017.
—Judge Mike Jacobs, Clarksville, to the Arkansas Public Employees Retirement System Board of Trustees. Appointment expires March 9, 2015. Replaces Larry Fratesi.
—Anthony McAdoo, Farmington, to the Arkansas Division of Volunteerism Advisory Council. Appointment expires Jan. 8, 2013. Replaces Joann Martin.
—Dr. Lisa McNeir, Little Rock, to the Arkansas Psychology Board. Appointment expires Dec. 31, 2014. Replaces Dr. Joe Alford.
—Clyde Noel, Marianna, to the Arkansas Motor Vehicle Commission. Appointment expires Jan. 14, 2017. Replaces Mayor Gordon McCoy.
—Angela Oxford, Fayetteville, to the Arkansas Division of Volunteerism Advisory Council. Appointment expires Jan. 8, 2013. Replaces Dr. Anne Allen.
—Shirley Pearce, DeQueen, reappointed to the Arkansas Appraisers Licensing and Certification Board. Appointment expires Jan. 15, 2013.
—Ernest Pender, Texarkana, reappointed to the Waterwell Construction Commission. Appointment expires Jan. 14, 2015.
—Don Richardson, Clinton, to the Arkansas Natural Resources Commission. Appointment expires Jan. 14, 2011. Replaces Daniel Bryant.
