LITTLE ROCK — Education provides choices and helps young people pursue dreams, Martin Luther King III told students in Little Rock today.
King said he was blessed to have his parents instill in him a spirit of love and non-violence. The son of slain civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Coretta Scott King, he said each young person needs a sense of destiny.
“We all can achieve greatness, but you have to have a plan for your life,” he said, speaking at the Jobs for America’s Graduates conference at McClellan High School.
Everyone has benefited from the work of previous generations, and all should return something for the future, King said.
