Station misses deadline

Phillips 66 gas station owner Bob Allison failed to comply with the Friday deadline to have an independent site check completed and the records sent to the Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality, according to a department spokesman.

Election results lead to runoff in some races

Lonoke County primary voting results reflected statewide totals in most races. In perhaps the most watched statewide contest, reports show incumbent U.S. Sen. Blanche Lincoln in a 43 percent tie with challenger Lt. Gov. Bill Halter, falling short of the 50 percent-plus-one needed to avoid the June 8 runoff.
