Packaging company to add 150 jobs in Hot Springs

LITTLE ROCK — International packaging company Rexam announced today it will expand its Hot Springs facility, adding more than 150 new jobs by the end of the calendar year.

Rexam currently employs 250 people at its Hot Springs plant. The company makes containers and container tops for the personal care, health care and food industries.

Rexam operates more than 40 plants and employs more than 13,000 people around the world.

“This expansion shows our commitment to supporting customer growth by building on our existing efficient high-quality operations and continuing our focus on delivering world-class quality products and services to our customers,” Malcolm Harrison, group director for Rexam, said in a news release.

The release from the company quoted Gov. Mike Beebe as saying, “The expansion of a business like Rexam is a vote of confidence in Hot Springs and the people who live and work there. The continued success of our existing companies will help build the foundation of our economic future in Arkansas.”
