LITTLE ROCK — Former president Bill Clinton will host a reception for Democratic 2nd District congressional candidate Joyce Elliott next week, Elliott’s campaign announced today.

The late-morning reception Wednesday at the Copper Grill in downtown Little Rock will be the first of two events for the former president that day. He is to join with U.S. Sen. Blanche Lincoln, D-Ark., that night to celebrate her one-year anniversary as chairman of the Senate Agriculture Committee.

Elliott, a state senator, faces Republican Tim Griffin, a former U.S. attorney, in the Nov. 2 general election.
