KEY PERFORMERS IN ARKANSAS’ 58-21 WIN
• Ryan Mallett
Playing what many think was his final game in Fayetteville before declaring for the NFL Draft, the junior quarterback was deadly efficient. He only threw for 216 yards — 89 yards less than his per game average — but five of his 19 completions were for touchdowns. He finished with a QB rating of 206.32. Mallett also scrambled four times for 18 yards and one TD. Mallett also ran out of the “A” for the first, and likely last, time in his career at Arkansas.
• Knile Davis
The running back continued to punish opponents. Against UTEP he carried just 11 times, but totaled 182 yards.
Following a 100-yard kickoff return for a TD by UTEP, Davis answered with a 70-yard scoring sprint that ripped the momentum away from the Miners.
UTEP didn’t score again until the fourth quarter, when Arkansas already had sealed the win.
• D.J. Williams
The senior tight end was the focal point of the Arkansas passing game. He caught five passes for 58 yards and two touchdowns.
Following his final game in Razorback Stadium, Williams admitted he got emotional during the pregame ceremony when he was joined on the field by his mother and sisters.
• Tramain Thomas
The junior safety blocked a UTEP field goal attempt in the first quarter, which preserved a 14-14 tie. Arkansas took over at its own 21 following the block and promptly drove down the field for the go-ahead TD. Arkansas scored 45 unanswered points before the defensive reserves surrendered a meaningless touchdown to the Miners.
During that Arkansas scoring spree, Thomas also intercepted a pass by UTEP quarterback Trevor Vittatoe. Thomas returned it 11 yards and eight plays later the Razorbacks took a 35-14 lead.
Thomas also recorded four tackles.

just when we get somebody that can play, they all want to skip collage and go for the NFL. What is wrong with these kids today. School is more important than anything. Just wish the school will show some kinda of offer to keep him till he finishes. Just hope he is not on a free ride like the other morons was on and skip out.
