SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Dorial Green-Beckham has made his decision.
He’s playing college football at Missouri.
The Hillcrest (Mo.) High wide receiver made his announcement in the school’s gymnasium — and live in front of an ESPNU television audience — Wednesday morning.
The 6-foot-6, 220-pound Green-Beckham, who is regarded as the top prospect in the nation by Scout.com and Rivals.com, revealed his plans by slipping on a Missouri hat.
The decision is a disappointing one for the Razorbacks, who were hoping to add the impact wideout to coach Bobby Petrino’s high-powered offense. But Green-Beckham told reporters after his announcement he felt comfortable with Missouri’s coaching staff and wanted to remain in his home state to play for the Tigers.
“I slept on it Monday and felt good about it,” Green-Beckham said. “It’s important for me to stay home and play at Missouri.”
