FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas guard Calli Berna was named Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Week after her performance in wins against South Carolina and Auburn.

Berna averaged 7.5 points, 1.5 assists and 3.0 steals in helping the Razorbacks push their school-record SEC win streak to eight games. Her performance included six steals in the win against the Gamecocks last Thursday.

Arkansas (19-5, 8-4 in SEC) is tied for third in the conference standings with South Carolina and Georgia. The Razorbacks will be back on the court Thursday night, playing LSU (17-8, 7-5) in Bud Walton Arena.
