Stephens expands principal investing practice, shifts management Tuesday, Feb 6, 2007 Arkansas News Bureau LITTLE ROCK - Five top executives of Stephens Inc.'s investment banking, principal investing and research divisions will change posts, Stephens announced Monday. The management shift is part of the investment banking and brokerage firm's effort to build its principal investing activity, CEO Warren Stephens said. Kevin Wilcox and Noel Strauss will become managing directors in Stephens Capital Partners, the principal investing organization for Warren Stephens. Wilcox managed Stephens' investment banking practice for the past 3 1/2 years. Strauss formerly led the Mergers and Acquisitions group. Brad Eichler in Little Rock and Ken Gunderman in New York City will become executive vice presidents in charge of the Investment Banking group. "Our investment banking practice will now benefit from two management professionals," Stephens said. "They will be charged with managing more than 60 investment banking professionals at our offices throughout the country." During the past five years, the company has advised clients on more than 120 merger and acquisitions transactions, valued in excess of $43 billion. Nikolai Fisken will replace Eichler as director of the research department, which consists of 19 analysts and 15 associate analysts, who cover more than 220 stocks. Fisken has been with the company since 1994 and most recently served as senior analyst covering the financial services industry. |
