Governor announces 30 appointments Wednesday, May 14, 2008 Arkansas News Bureau LITTLE ROCK - Gov. Mike Beebe announced 30 appointments to state boards and commissions Tuesday: Those appointed: -Mockie Abramson of Holly Grove to the Old State House Commission replacing Jack Coop. Her appointment expires March 19, 2017. -Terry Bowie of Russellville to Pope County Justice of the Peace, District 5, replacing Roger Freeman. His appointment expires Dec. 31, 2008. -Cora "Corky" Bradshaw of Gould reappointed to the Arkansas State Board of Architects. Her appointment expires April 26, 2013. -Shirley Bolden-Bruce of Little Rock reappointed to the Arkansas State Board of Architects. Her appointment expires April 26, 2013. -Phyllis "Marilou" Brodi of Little Rock to the Arkansas Dietetics Licensing Board, replacing Carolyn Davis. Her appointment expires Jan. 15, 2013. -Larry Clary of North Little Rock to the State Technology Council. He serves at the will of the governor. -Daryl Clement of Lonoke to Lonoke County Justice of the Peace, District 7, replacing Richard Kyzer. His appointment expires Dec. 31, 2008. -Former state Rep. Olin Cook of Russellville to the Arkansas Higher Education Coordinating Board, replacing Anne Turssell. His appointment expires May 1, 2014. -Jeanne Curtis of Rogers to the Arkansas Division of Volunteerism Advisory Council, replacing Rabbi Martin Applebaum. Her appointment expires Jan. 7, 2009. -Duane Dutka of Piggott to the Arkansas Division of Volunteerism Advisory Council, replacing David Oates. His appointment expires Jan. 7, 2011. -David Gilbert of Mena to the Waterwell Construction Commission, replacing Ed Owen. His appointment expires Jan. 14, 2013. -Dr. George Haas of North Little Rock reappointed to the State Board of Optometry. His appointment expires April 26, 2013. -Former U.S. Sen. Kaneaster Hodges of Newport reappointed to the Arkansas Higher Education Coordinating Board. His appointment expires May 1, 2014. -Reta Hudson of Texarkana to the Arkansas Board of Podiatric Medicine replacing LouAnn Cameron. Her appointment expires Sept. 1, 2010. -Mike Lawyer of Forrest City reappointed to the Crowley's Ridge Technical Institute Board of Directors. His appointment expires June 30, 2012. -Dr. Kent Magrini of Fort Smith reappointed to the Arkansas Board of Podiatric Medicine. His appointment expires Sept. 1, 2010. -Mike Menge of Dover to the Arkansas-Oklahoma River Compact Commission, replacing Scott Campbell. His appointment expires Feb. 1, 2012. -Mildred Veo Mitchell of Mountain View reappointed to the Criminal Detention Facility Review Committee, Judicial District 16. Her appointment expires Jan. 15, 2013. -Steven Reed of Little Rock to Baby Sharon's Children's Catastrophic Illness Grant Program Advisory Committee, replacing Ken Haynes. His appointment expires May 1, 2010. -Ronald Ross of Little Rock reappointed to the Arkansas State Board of Architects. Her appointment expires July 1, 2010. -Gary Wiederkehr of Altus reappointed to the Arkansas Wine Producers Council. His appointment expires March 1, 2011. -Dr. Robin Covington Fort Smith reappointed to the state Board of Examiners of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse. Her appointment expires Sept. 14, 2011. -Jose "Fred" Garcia of Siloam Springs to the state Board of Examiners of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse replacing Mel DeLaney. His appointment expires Sept. 14, 2009. -Dr. Elizabeth Hooker of Bryant reappointed to the state Board of Examiners of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse. Her appointment expires Sept. 14, 2011. -Brooxine Kidder of Fort Smith to the state Board of Examiners of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse replacing Carol. Tucker.
