Micki Bare calls on her experiences as wife, mother, teacher, journalist and author to write a weekly column distributed by the Arkansas News Bureau.
A graduate of North Carolina State University with a degree in speech communication, Micki began writing a weekly column for Asheboro's Courier-Tribune in 2000. Since November 2002, the Arkansas News Bureau has distributed her column to Stephens Media newspapers.
Micki also does radio commentary, freelance writing, and provides training, workshops and consultation in the early childhood field, through her business, "Inspired Scribe." She is the author of "Relative Expressions," a collection of stories and columns relating to the memories of her great-grandfather, an Italian immigrant, how he achieved the "American Dream" and how she and her family are experiencing it now.
Micki, her husband and three children reside in Asheboro.
