FAYETTEVILLE — The signing period for junior college prospects who intend to enroll at midterm began Wednesday.
New Arkansas coach Bret Bielema and his staff welcomed five players to the Razorbacks.
Arkansas’ junior college signees included: Hartnell (Calif.) Community College cornerback Carroll Washington, College of the Siskiyous (Calif.) linebacker Myke Tavarres, Georgia Military Academy cornerback Tiquention Coleman, Butler County (Kan.) Community College tackle John McClure and Coffeyville (Kan.) Community College linebacker Martrell Spaight.
Spaight was the fifth and final signee Wednesday. The North Little Rock native had been verbally committed to Kansas State, but changed his mind and signed with the Hogs.
Spaight, McClure, Washington and Tavarres are rated as three-star prospects by Rivals.com. Coleman is rated as a two-star prospect by Rivals.com.
The signing period for junior college players stretches to Jan. 15.
