FAYETTEVILLE — Former Arkansas offensive lineman Bobbie Williams will play in his first Super Bowl when the Baltimore Ravens meet the San Franscisco 49ers on Feb. 3.
Williams is in his 13th season in the NFL and his first with the Ravens, who beat the New England Patriots 28-13 in the AFC Championship Game on Sunday.
The 36-year-old Williams spent his first four seasons in the NFL with the Philadelphia Eagles and eight more with the Cincinnati Bengals before moving to Baltimore, where he started 6 games during the regular season.
Williams played at Arkansas from 1996-99, earning second-team All-Southeastern Conference honors as a senior. He was selected in the second round of the 2000 NFL Draft by Philadelphia.
Williams' trip to the Super Bowl meant two other former Razorbacks were left out. Quarterback Ryan Mallett and defensive end Jake Bequette play for the Patriots.
