Gundy Declines Comment On Reports Of Tennessee, Arkansas Interest

FAYETTEVILLE — Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy is reportedly in the mix for jobs at Arkansas and Tennessee.

So what better time to have Gundy featured on a teleconference?

The coach spoke with reporters tonight as part of Oklahoma State's bowl announcement. The Cowboys will play Purdue in the Heart of Dallas Bowl, although that wasn't exactly the most intriguing topic of conversation during the teleconference for obvious reasons.

Gundy was asked about reports he is interviewing for other jobs and had this to say: "I would never talk about any other jobs or any confirmation of anything that's gone on."

He also was asked at one point during the call what he did Sunday: "I've been around the house."

It's clear Gundy wasn't interested in talking about the subject: "I would prefer to not talk about anything other than Oklahoma State and the bowl game."

Gundy is 66-35 in eight seasons with the Cowboys and one year removed from a new contract, which he earned after guiding Oklahoma State to a 12-1 record and Fiesta Bowl win last season. His current deal currently pays him an average of $3.75 million annually through 2019. The contract also includes a $3 million buyout.
