FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas fans watched a pretty rare feat during the Razorbacks' 88-80 two-overtime win at Auburn last night.
It was the first double overtime game played in Bud Walton Arena and the Razorbacks' first against a Southeastern Conference opponent. It was the program's first double-overtime game since 1987, when the Razorbacks beat Texas A&M 100-97 under former coach Nolan Richardson. And it also was the first two-overtime game in Fayetteville since 1986, when the Razorbacks lost to Texas Christian 73-71 in Barnhill Arena during Richardson's first season with the Razorbacks.
They are among the nine games of two overtimes or more in school history, according to the Arkansas basketball media guide.
