FAYETTEVILLE — Six former Arkansas players have been invited to the 2013 NFL Scouting Combine.
Quarterback Tyler Wilson, running back Knile Davis, wide receiver Cobi Hamilton, tight end Chris Gragg, guard Alvin Bailey and punter Dylan Breeding were among 333 draft-eligible players selected to participate in one of the NFL's premiere pre-draft events. The NFL Combine will be held from Feb. 20-26 at Lucas Oil Field in Indianapolis. Each player selected will have an opportunity to go through interviews, medical exams and workouts over a four-day period.
The list of former Razorbacks invited did not include running back Dennis Johnson.
Rob Rang of NFLDraftScout.com ranked the top 10 NFL Combine snubs this morning and placed Johnson at No. 2, saying: "Although he didn't receive the same hype as Knile Davis (who did receive an invite), Johnson is a quick-footed runner with the balance and toughness needed for the position and leaves Arkansas as the school and SEC all-time leader in kickoff return yardage."
Linebackers Tenarius Wright and Alonzo Highsmith, defensive linemen D.D. Jones and Alfred Davis, and running back Ronnie Wingo are other draft-hopeful Hogs who weren't invited.
Players not invited to the combine will have a chance to be weighed, measured and worked out by scouts during an on-campus pro day in March.
