FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas coach Dave Van Horn reached a milestone Saturday afternoon.
The Razorbacks' 8-2 win against San Diego State during the first game of a doubleheader was No. 1,000 in his coaching career. Arkansas earned its third-straight win behind a strong pitching performance from starter Trey Killian, who didn't allow a hit and struck out seven in seven innings. Outfielder Tyler Spoon also went 3-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs.
Arkansas will try to sweep the four game series — and give Van Horn win No. 1,001 — with the second game of the doubleheader this afternoon.
