Arkansas coach Bobby Petrino met with the media for the final time before Saturday’s game in Little Rock a few minutes ago.
Nothing huge came out of the press conference. But there are a few items worth mentioning.
• Petrino provided a small injury update for a couple of players. DT Zach Stadther (knee) has been able [...]

Arkansas quarterback Ryan Mallett’s performance the second half of the season has raised an interesting question.
Is there a chance the redshirt sophomore will leave the Razorbacks for the NFL after the year?
Arkansas offensive coordinator Paul Petrino doesn’t think so.
“He needs to be here another year for sure to make sure he continues to grow and [...]

I wrote a story for today’s papers on Arkansas’ game against No. 20 Louisville in St. Louis, which is tonight at 6:30 on ESPN2.
The story was about John Pelphrey and Rick Pitino. Not Arkansas guard Rotnei Clarke, who has garnered plenty of national attention for scoring 51 points and knocking down 13 3-pointers in Arkansas’ [...]

Arkansas defensive coordinator Willy Robinson is back at work after spending part of the weekend in the hospital with what the university described as an “infection.”

Arkansas has just told us that defensive coordinator Willy Robinson will not be with the Razorbacks tonight.
Robinson is still in the hospital and is being treated for an infection. He was transported to Washington Regional Medical Center late Friday morning and was hospitalized overnight. Robinson, Arkansas said, is “resting comfortably.”
The Razorbacks have also told us [...]

Arkansas’ 130-68 win against Alcorn State is complete.
I think Arkansas guard Rotnei Clarke is still scoring points, though.
There’s plenty to say about Clarke’s record-setting night of 51 points and 13 3-pointers. Most of it is in my game story. One item that didn’t make the cut (since I was running out of space) — Clarke [...]

We’re at halftime here in Bud Walton Arena and the Razorbacks lead Alcorn State by a whopping 71-26.
The story of the half has been Arkansas guard Rotnei Clarke, who is off to an incredible start. The sophomore knocked down his first seven shots – all of which were 3’s – and has scored 31 points [...]

Arkansas defensive coordinator Willy Robinson was taken by ambulance to the hospital late Friday morning.
Arkansas spokesperson Kevin Trainor confirmed that Robinson was taken to the hospital, but could not say what happened to the 53-year-old coach. He did say Robinson was “alert and stable,” however.
“They’re running some tests,” Trainor said. “That’s really what I can [...]
