School/Community Partnership Nets $10,000 Grant

A new partnership between Lavaca Elementary School and the Lavaca Youth Basketball organization has netted nearly $10,000 in grant money from the Arkansas Department of Education. The money will fund a project to renovate the 6,000 square foot Measles Gymnasium on the district’s campus for use by both the school and the community basketball program.
