Freeda Baker Nichols received the Arkansas Merit Award at the Poetry Day Luncheon held in Little Rock on Oct. 17. Recipient of the award is selected by the executive board of Poets’ Roundtable of Arkansas by secret ballot. An individual is selected for this award based on cumulative contributions promoting poetry.
