Eagles open season with two victories

Underclassmen make up the biggest part of the starting lineup for the Eagle baseball team, but that didn’t deter the Eagles in their first two games of the season as these youngsters along with the veterans picked up wins over County Line and Scranton to open the 2010 baseball season.

Lady Tigers, Rattlers win Eagle Relays

Paris resident wins award from NWTF

For his contributions to the National Wild Turkey Federation’s conservation legacy, Paris resident Gary Watts received a Roger M. Latham Sportsman Wild Turkey Service Award. He was presented the award during the Federation’s national convention, which took place in Nashville, Tenn.

Eagles, Lady Bearcats win junior relays

With a junior high track team loaded with fast runners, skilled jumpers, and good throwers, the junior Eagles tallied up 209 points to capture the first place trophy at the Junior Eagle Relays at Eagle Stadium last week. Taking the individual high point award was freshman Harrison Ramsey.
