Arkansas woman gets presidential pardon

LITTLE ROCK — An Arkansas woman was among those granted presidential pardons Friday for largely minor offenses.

President Obama included Kelli Elisabeth Collins of Harrison on the list of 17 offenders from 13 states who faced charges ranging from unauthorized acquisition of food stamps to embezzlement and misapplication of bank funds.

Collins was sentenced to five years probation for aiding and abetting a wire fraud.

The pardon notice gave no details of the crime or why Collins or the others were selected.
