Trey Flowers: The defensive end made a diving interception to set up the Razorbacks with field position inside Southern Miss territory, but quarterback Brandon Allen was intercepted on the next play.

Brandon Allen: Arkansas’ quarterback rushed for a 5-yard touchdown, but suffered a game-ending shoulder injury on the play. The Razorbacks had 111 yards of total offense before Allen’s injury, but just 48 more the rest of the first half.

Alex Collins: Arkansas’ freshman running back had consecutive runs of 14 and 23 yards to help set up the Razorbacks’ first touchdown.

Corey Acosta: The Southern Miss kicker connected on a 27-yard field goal to give the Golden Eagles their only points.

AJ Derby: Playing in place of Allen, Derby wasn’t asked to do much in the first half. Of the Razorbacks’ 16 offensive snaps when Derby was in the game before halftime, 12 were called runs. The quarterback scrambled on one of three called pass plays and had a snap go through his hands.

Will Hines: Arkansas’ cornerback killed a Southern Miss drive late in the half, making an interception at the Razorbacks’ 20-yard line.
