Five Keys — Arkansas vs. Rutgers

1. Protect Tyler Wilson

Arkansas will have QB Tyler Wilson back under center tonight. Now the Razorbacks have to make sure he stays on the field. The offensive line faces a big test against Rutgers, which will bring blitz after blitz at Wilson to disrupt the offense.

2. Eliminate Turnovers

The Razorbacks are tied for the most turnovers in the NCAA (10) through three games. The mistakes are unacceptable. Arkansas, which has been outscored 49-14 off turnovers, is certain better ball security will help snap the losing streak.

3. Keep Jamison Contained

Rutgers’ offense will depend on the success of tailback Jawan Jamison. He carried 41 times for 150 yards in last week’s win and is ranked among the nation’s best in rushing. The 5-foot-8 back is strong, so solid tackling by Arkansas will be key.

4. Run The Ball

Arkansas needed more from Knile Davis, Dennis Johnson and the ground game whether Wilson returned or not. The Razorbacks won’t win if they can’t churn out yards. It won’t be easy against the nation’s ninth ranked run defense.

5. No Special Gaffes

A punt team blunder set up Alabama’s first touchdown, then a kickoff return fumble led to another in the second half of the 52-0 loss. The glaring errors on special teams can’t continue if Arkansas wants its losing skid to end against Rutgers.
