1. Run The Football
Arkansas gained some confidence in the run game at Auburn, getting a solid outing from Dennis Johnson. Whether it’s Johnson, Knile Davis or Jonathan Williams, the Hogs need a big day against one of the NCAA’s worst run defenses.
2. Put Pressure On QB
Kentucky will start a freshman in Jalen Whitlow, who has earned the bulk of the work the past two weeks. So Arkansas’ goal is simple? Make his night difficult with plenty of pressure a week after collecting eight sacks in the Auburn win.
3. Keep Forcing Turnovers
Arkansas finally snapped out of its turnover slump at Auburn, collecting five takeaways against a struggling offense. Kentucky ranks 91st in the nation in turnover margin, meaning Arkansas will have opportunities for more.
4. Test The Secondary
Kentucky is starting three freshmen in an injury-depleted secondary tonight. It should raise eyebrows for the Razorbacks, who are among the SEC’s top passing attacks. Tyler Wilson and the Hogs could enjoy a banner night vs. the ‘Cats.
5. Start Quick
Arkansas is facing a Kentucky team that has been outscored 35-3 in the first quarter this season. While starting strong doesn’t always equal a win (see Rutgers, ULM losses), the Razorbacks can hurt a struggling team by jumping out quickly.
