Arkansas LB Tenarius Wright (6-2, 252, Sr.)
Key Statistics: 95 career tackles, 20 tackles for losses
Wright will play his first game as a linebacker at Arkansas tonight, giving fans a look at how he performs at the new position. There are plenty of unanswered questions, too, considering Wright has been held out of contact for much of the preseason after suffering a head injury. The veteran, who is teaming with senior Alonzo Highsmith at linebacker, will get his first test against a Jacksonville State offense featuring a former SEC running back (Washaun Ealey). Wright will play his first game at linebacker since high school, so perfection isn’t expected. But production is vital.
Jacksonville State RB Washaun Ealey (5-11, 215, Sr.)
Key Statistics: 1,082 rushing yards, 8 touchdowns in 2011
Ealey is no stranger to the Razorbacks after a two-year career at Georgia. He ran for 87 yards and a touchdown against Arkansas in 2010, helping the Bulldogs tie the game in what was eventually a 31-24 Razorbacks win. He was named a first-team, Ohio Valley Conference performer after rushing for a team-high 1,082 yards and eight touchdowns last season. It included a 217-yard, 2-touchdown performance against Eastern Kentucky. Jacksonville State coach Jack Crowe said Ealey won’t be overused today, but there’s no doubt he is the central figure in the offense.
