FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas senior Sam Irwin-Hill was among 25 players named to the watch list for the Ray Guy Award, which is presented annually to the nation’s top punter.
Irwin-Hill ranked averaged 44.3 yards a punt in 2013, which ranked third in the SEC. The senior led the conference with 20 punts inside the 20-yard line and also had an SEC-best 79-yard punt last season.
The rugby-style kicker also was utilized on trick plays last season, completing 1 of 2 passes for 24 yards and rushing for eight yards on two carries.
Irwin-Hill is the fifth Razorback on a preseason watch list this week, joining running backs Jonathan Williams and Alex Collins (Maxwell Award), defensive end Trey Flowers (Bednarik Award) and tight end Hunter Henry (Mackey Award).
